GK Civil Limited is an established and developing civil construction company, with the assistance of its sister companies and contributed by its senior staffs, G K Civil has won its own reputation of quality, cost control, quick response & reliability in civil construction industry.
GK Civil Limited has successfully completed several civil projects up to 4 million in total in 2008.

Techinical Skills

GK Civil Limited employs experienced Civil Engineering and Project Management Staffs to enable the Company to fulfil its obligations as per its Mission Statement.
To deliver a product on time and within budget to the highest degree of technical excellence and at all times recognizing the importance of our relationship with the client, the engineer and other stakeholders.
We are familiar with the NZ construction bylaws, building code, standards and other local regulations related to this contract.

Quality Control

To define our strategic direction, goals and commitment towards providing a quality product and service and achievecustomer satisfaction we have in place a Quality System Manual.
We will continually develop and improve our Quality System policies, procedures and processes, to seek more effective ways of satisfying our Customers' current and future requirements.
Our Management Representative has overall responsibility for maintaining the objectives and approach of the quality system, to ensure its' compliance with ISO 9001:2000 and for the ease of use and implementation of the policies, procedures and forms.
To ensure that these policies are understood throughout the organisation, employees are introduced to the "Company Quality Policy" as part of their induction program and copies are displayed at prominent locations throughout Head Office and GK Civil sites for permanent reference.

Health and Safety

A specific Healthy & Safety Plan will be set up for the project, G K Civil Ltd has own full time safety officer on duty.
But briefly it has been the policy of the Company to give all staff the opportunity to advance their knowledge in Health & Safety and Environmental Awareness and as a result of this policy, staff are up to date with the latest requirements of OSH, Health & Safety in Employment Act – Approved Code of Practice’s,
TP 90 ARC Erosion & Sediment Control, and Technical Report No 28 Bay of Plenty Regional Council. All of our Staff are Site Safety Passport registered as are our nominated Sub Contractors. GK Civil have produced among other publications for Staff Safety, Guidelines for Hazard Identification which as a tool has been responsible for a zero workplace incident rating. Staff allocated for this project are qualified in Traffic Management, First Aid and Machinery Safety compliance. All staff working the on site will undergo a 30 minute site induction and on completion will be given a copy of the Site Specific Health & Safety Plan, Guidelines for Hazard Identification and Guidelines to working with Hydrogen Sulphide. Induction into local areas of potential gas accumulation will be undertaken in conjunction with the Engineer. Tool Box meetings will be held every Monday morning where staff will be encouraged to raise issues having a negative impact on the project. Incident reports for injury and non injury occurrences will be filed immediately with a copy to the Engineer. All visitors to site will sign in and be subjected to a brief 10 minute induction.

Environment Protection

An Environment Management Plan will be set up for the project, and briefly including the following:
Before start the project, G K Civil will contact and consult with all the neighbours who will be affected by the project, a selection of methods will be discussed to protect the neighbours’ properties.
All the services will be located by G K Civil Ltd’s best knowledge with the help of the Engineer.
Erosion/Sediment Control Measures will be fully supervised and maintained in good condition during construction period.
All G K Civil Ltd’s employees and its subcontractors will follow the working conditions (noise, working hour, dust, parking etc) set up by the authorities and the project’s Concerns. 
G K Civil Ltd will fully supervise and coordinate with Engineer for the approved EMP through the whole duration of the project.
